Who among us Opponauts has "The Car" the one that is so incredibly beastly, fast and cool that even the haters among us have to admit it. SR-20 is a must.
I drive a Fiat Pop, so I'm out of the running. ( I still love her though!)
Let's see what you've got.

I purposely own cars that are neither fast nor cool.

This is totally my Ghibli.
Or could have been.
If I'd bid on it.
If I had the money.

Since mine is still in pieces I am out. I don't even have a current track car to post a pic of. I guess I could bolt my motorcycles together...

The car I drove to prom, and have acess to whenever I want is pretty beasty, soon to have a Kenne Bell Blower atop the 5.0 HO Cobra engine, with full Cobra Internals, GT40 heads, Cobra Intake Manifold, Custom headers, running through a custom Straightpipe.
N/A as is pushes 350ish at the wheels or something. Fun car.
My personal car most of you know now.
Itsa 2008 Cobalt SS, now getting what is essentially a Buick Regal Turbo Swap from a 2013 Regal. 2.0 Turbo Direct Injection I'll be at 300+whp and 400ishh wtq. Exact numbers to be posted as soon as I get it on a Dyno.

I don't have a CV, but all of these are true of my car too:

My Sonic RS is cooler than everyone else's car on here, that's fact. Deal with it.

Hmm.. there's no way to approach posting your own car for this and not sounding like an egotist or a d-bag but here goes. It's not cool, definitely not pretty and in strict terms it's not going to be the quickest. But I'll bet a dollar its one of the fastest:

What is it?

You aren't being a d-bag when you've been asked to do it.

73 240Z with an SR20DET swap, Wilwood big brakes, FMIC, etc. It's the new daily driver whenever it gets back out of the shop. Just had to order an oil filter relocation kit to move plumbing to the oil cooler around a bit so we are delayed again.

That truck of yours certainly qualifies as beastly, so you're still in the running
![]() 08/22/2013 at 14:03 |

We may have a different opinion on that.

There appears to be a conspicuous absence of a post in here containing the car you drive.

Fast, this is not. Beastly by the hp, no way in hell.

Only one of us is right. Hint: it's me.
I hope my sarcasm is showing, I don't even think my car is that cool. It's just comfortable, good looking, and pleasant to drive.

Yes...but Land Rover!
![]() 08/22/2013 at 14:11 |

It is comfortable. if it had handled a little better I might have gone for it instead of my Fiat. I can see why you like it though.

Fine it is a yellow lamborghini, yellow top missing.

SR-20, or GTFO. drug induced fantasy does not fly in this particular game.

It *does* have a crank that stores behind the seat to start it and a pushbutton starter/manual choke for the lazy. That's worth a few points, possibly.

I came to appreciate those while I lived in Alaska. They are like Zombie cars. Nothing you can ever do will kill them.

Fixed the blow off valve, still messing with transmission, but...
Fast: check
Powahhhhh: check and more to come
Rare: check
Pretty: check
Affordable: check
Will it baby: check
Gets me noticed: triple check, get so many folks asking about it
Awesome in every way: check

That would be because I drive a slow but reliable jeep. It was meant in jest man, I thought that was pretty clear. Don't be so sensitive.

Did you drive the RS or non-RS? The RS has different suspension, so theoretically it should handle better than the non-RS. Of course, I live in the midwest, so I don't exactly have any canyon roads to carve, sufficient handling is sufficient.
I wanted to wait for the Fiesta ST, but normal Fiesta's feel pretty cramped, while the Sonic is pretty damn spacious. I may regret not waiting for the ST, but I'm pretty happy with the Sonic so far.
![]() 08/22/2013 at 15:07 |

It was an RS. I think I was just looking for something a little weirder and thus the Fiat. I just love they way it drives, even the base model like mine in sport mode. I know what you mean about the Fiesta though. It was #2 on my list and I think what did it in for me was the damn entertainment center. It ruined the whole experience for me. Since it would be a DD for me, I just couldn't deal with the thought of putting up with that day after day. I'm not sure where you are, but out here in California the ST seems to be a little overpriced in my opinion. High demand will do that, I suppose. The Sonic did have it over the other cars I was looking at as far as space was concerned, but my wife's Mazda 6 is pretty big, so that wasn't really a concern for me. Sonics are pretty comfy cars. Just don't look at the one below it, the Spark. That is a miserable little turd of a car.

I know I use this for everything, but I don't really have any nice pictures..I need to get on that.
I don't think my others would really fit very high on the list:
2011 Fiesta (5 sp.)
2010 Taurus
2002 Escape

Entertainment center solution. Connect Sync to phone via Bluetooth. Select phone as audio input. Ignore Sync for rest of your life.

My DD isn't very lust worthy, but I'm quite proud of my toy. It sure as hell isn't fast, but it is fucking beefy. 4.6 V8.

Nice looking Series, does the winch work?
![]() 08/22/2013 at 17:04 |

It should. I haven't actually done much of anything with it, but it's been opened up, freed up and refilled.
![]() 08/22/2013 at 17:06 |

Those winches are rare as ducks teeth and worth a pretty penny. I know of a couple of guys who'd give their right nut for a working one.

I should also mention, I have a PTO:
![]() 08/22/2013 at 17:09 |

This one was used in South Korea, pulling phone poles around on one occasion. We've got most of another one that we'll finish up and put on one of my younger bro's.

You are the original grounded to the ground. Also, does going barefoot or sandals all the time make you more susceptible or less susceptible to electrical shocks? I'd think less for static electricity but more for, say, bad battery grounding.

I don't know for sure. I try not to walk on anything electrical!
